We woke up to another beautiful winters day here in Nelson, which the locals assured us was just an average day, but the sun was shining, and everyone was looking forward to another great day of rugby!
Everyone returned to Nayland in the morning with the usual excitement of sharing stories about their billets, and we all headed into Nelson for a mooch around the shops, and a chance to relax ahead of the upcoming matches. The wind was due to pick up a little bit in the afternoon, but as the sun shone, it felt like a spring day, and to play rugby on a firm pitch, overlooked by the Great Western Ranges, the scene was set for two great games!
